#Aarey Forest: Aarey Forest Case has become a cause of worry for everyone who cares about the Mother Earth. The Supreme Court has taken cognizance of the tree harvesting case of Aarey Colony in North Mumbai and a special bench will hear the case on Monday. A group of law students of a Noida Law college will reach the court for public interest litigation.
A special bench has been set up for the hearing of the case of construction of the Mumbai Metro car shed against by harvesting of over 2,600 trees in Aarey Colony, which has sparked massive protests in the city. Supreme Court judges are on leave from 7 to 12 October for Dussehra.

A notice posted on the website of the apex court stated that on the basis of the letter on October 6, 2019, a special bench has been set up tomorrow i.e. on October 7, 2019 at 10 am.
A group of law students of the college based in Noida approached Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi on Sunday. He demanded immediate intervention from the court to stop the felling of trees in Mumbai.
